School Fun and Interactive Storytelling!

Our authors at Caroline Wakeman Literary Agency continue to take part in many wonderful events, and this month is no exception! Between school visits and storytelling performances, it’s lovely to see people enjoying and connecting with our authors and their books.

Garry Dix had a school workshop at Westwood Primary School, where he will be next term’s featured author! The teacher said that the kids “absolutely loved him” and the kids said “he was the best author so far”! As a featured author, they have added his books to the library and they will be used to help children with their reading progress. His workshop, however, was all about encouraging children to write. After he left, the kids spent the afternoon using his tips to write their own mini books. The teacher said “they were having so much fun — they didn’t want to stop”!

Lou Treleaven’s picture book Not Yet a Yeti is being performed at Discovery Children’s Center this month as a wintery, interactive storytelling session for ages 2-5! Not Yet a Yeti is a lovely story about courage, acceptance, and finding yourself. The Discovery Children’s Center has beautifully brought this story to life. You can find out more here, and go catch a performance before it’s gone!

A huge thank you to the Discovery Children’s Center for these brilliant photos of the performance!

Caroline Wakeman Literary Agency focuses on picture and early chapter books. Based in London and New York City, we have a team of literary agents specializing in children’s books and young fiction. Our goal is to create engaging stories for young readers.
