Lots of buzz around Bad United

Louise Forshaw’s Bad United – Just For Kicks is published today and wow, has it had some brilliant reviews so far!

Published by Little Tiger, it’s the first in a series of graphic novels about Hoof the Unicorn. Bad United is silly, fun and fast paced with an endearing message about inclusivity and loving sport – despite not always being the best!

Check out some of the fabulous reviews that have been received so far:

“Fantastic, fast-paced, fantasy-fuelled footballing fun! Received this glorious book post this week. My 7YO has read it THREE TIMES already! Brilliant fun, wonderful artwork. Highly recommend for readers aged 7+” Mark Smith, author of Slugboy Saves the World

“96 pages divided into 8 chapters, B&W art – perfect for bridging over from early readers to graphic novels. Funny, with great character designs & easy to read. Especially great for young readers who love sports!” Mark Bradley, comic artist of Bumble & Snug

“You will want this book to go into extra time as it’s a hilarious, pacey read with lots of goal scoring illustrations to boot! Young readers are in for a treat!” Nicola Colton, author of Jasper & Scruff and Bertha & Blink Rumble in the Jungle

“Bad United: Just for Kicks is Louise Forshaw’s debut comic and it is BRILLIANT! SO FUNNY! Glad I not-so-subtly begged for an early read. My kids loved it. First in a fantastic new series for 6+” Rashmi Sirdeshpande, author of Never Show a T-Rex a Book

“Hoof wants to play football, but when his team kick him out and he finds a new one, will he eventually win? #BadUnited made me chuckle! Imagine what you get when a skeleton, a dinosaur and a unicorn are on the same team! This! This is definitely going to school!” A Little But A Lot Blog

“Delivered in graphic novel form, this must surely be soccer at its silliest. It’s also great fun. An enjoyable read, especially for those who prefer stories where the visuals are dominant.” Red Reading Hub

Well done Louise – we can’t wait for the next one!
