Sally Anne Garland is an author-illustrator from the Scottish Highlands. She loved drawing and stories from a very early age. After studying illustration at Edinburgh College Of Art she worked for many years as an in-house designer and illustrator for a number of retail suppliers, before becoming a full-time freelance children’s illustrator with Advocate Art Ltd in 2010.
Sally has written and illustrated dozens of books. Her author-illustrated picture books include Heave Ho (Sunbird Books), Share (Little Tiger), Poppy’s Perfect Crayons (Beaming Books), and the much lauded The Moon Seed (Sunbird Books), describe by The Guardian as “A quietly spectacular picture book, reimagining the journey of a seed aboard Apollo 14.”
She now currently lives in Glasgow with her partner and son.
