Damien Jones

Damien is an illustrator and author. After graduating from Arts University Bournemouth where he achieved a BA degree in Animation Production, he went on to work on the Oscar-nominated film ‘The Illusionist’, before accidentally falling into the world of publishing – and has loved it there ever since.

Being a very visual thinker, he imagines stories as moving pictures and loves to then enrich these stills with text, to fill in the gaps where images can’t. Damien is a lover of words and enjoys discovering new adjectives – his current favourites being discombobulated, hoity-toity, and bumfuzzled. With 12 years of experience in the publishing world, Damien is now very excited to be joining CWLA to further develop his ideas and progress with his writing career.

Damien lives in Cornwall and works from his home in a small studio whilst trying not to get distracted by the nearby beaches and moors.
