Originally from a sleepy village in South Wales, Gareth Williams is an Author Illustrator based in Essex.

Since studying Illustration and Graphics at Swansea Metropolitan University, Gareth has created characters and imaginative worlds for a wide range of clients. His biggest focus now is writing and illustrating his own stories—mainly because there are far too many characters living in his head, and they’re all waiting for their turn in a book.

Inspired by storytellers like Roald Dahl and the wonderfully textured illustrations of Eric Carle, Gareth is reminded that the very best stories don’t just entertain—they stay with you long after you’ve read them.

When not writing or drawing, Gareth usually spends time with his wife and daughter. He loves films and can never say no to a gaming session or a football match. His daughter keeps sparking his imagination and is his go-to for new ideas—although she’s also his toughest critic!
