Michael Buxton began his career working in the field of greeting card design. After ten years in the industry, in 2016, he decided to go freelance and began creating his own designs.

In this time he had work licensed by Disney, LAIKA, Hot Topic and Tilly’s, amongst many others. Through his agency, he also began creating illustrations for children’s books, which had been a keen interest of his since university. He then had an opportunity to both write and illustrate several children’s books published by Tiny & Tim and Kane Miller. This work culminated in his two-book series ‘Not So Bad Guys’ of which Count Derek won a Booksellers Circle Book of the Month.

Following this, Michael is currently working with Arcturus Publishing to bring to life a four part graphic novel series entitled ‘Instant Monsters’.
